Investing in massage is an investment in your health.  Our services include:

Swedish Massage

One of the most common techniques, Swedish massage is a vigorous system of treatment designed to energize the body by stimulating circulation.  Benefits include relaxation, dissolution of scar tissue adhesions, and improved circulation, which may speed healing and reduce swelling from injury.

Deep Tissue Massage

Techniques that utilize deep-tissue/deep-muscle massage are administered to affect the sub-layer of musculature and fascia. Deep tissue massage helps with chronic muscular pain and injury rehabilitation and reduces inflammation-related pain caused by arthritis and tendinitis.

Lymphatic Drainage

Lymphatic massage, also called lymphatic drainage or manual lymph drainage, is a technique developed in Germany for treatment of lymphedema, an accumulation of fluid that can occur after lymph nodes are removed during surgery, most often a mastectomy for breast cancer. Lymphedema can also be present at birth or develop at puberty or during adulthood. Lymphatic drainage massage promotes uptake of this fluid thereby managing excessive swelling in the affected areas.

Medical Massage

Performing medical massage requires a firm background in pathology and utilizes specific treatments appropriate to working with disease, pain, and recovery from injury. The therapist often works from a physician's prescription or as an adjunct healer within a hospital or physical therapy setting.

Maternity Massage

Prenatal massage is therapeutic bodywork that focuses on the special needs of the mother-to-be as her body goes through the dramatic changes of pregnancy. It enhances the function of muscles and joints, improves circulation and general body tone, and relieves mental and physical fatigue.  Many methods of massage and somatic therapies are both effective and safe prenatally and during postpartum periods of pregnancy. Prenatally, specific techniques can reduce pregnancy discomforts and enhance the physiological and emotional well-being of both mother and fetus.  In the postpartum period, specialized techniques rebalance structure, physiology, and emotions of the new mother and may help her to bond with and care for her infant.
